The aim of the National Qualifications Framework is to create a translation tool between the different qualifications systems and their levels for all areas of education in Austria. The recording and classification of the qualifications into eight levels is oriented upon learning results and is based on the European Qualifications Framework for Lifelong Learning (EQF).
